While Tara Lodge is a fabulous place to spend a summer evening listening to music & sipping wine, winter brings a mellowness and peace to the property that is hard to find anywhere else.

The garden is beautiful in its winter dress and the shorter days bring you in early to snuggle in front of the fire with a glass of red & a good book before devouring a hearty dinner.

As our friends, we are offering you a special package, for bookings from 1 July to 30 Sept:

•  One night’s accommodation in our beautiful Green Room
•  Pre dinner drinks in front of the fire
•  A 3 course dinner incorporating our farm products
•  A bottle of fine local wine & a box of Tara Lodge’s produce to enjoy at your leisure (valued at $98.00)

For just $250.00 per couple, inclusive of GST

But wait! That’s not all!! You can stay a second night for only $150 (includes GST & our famous breakfast) – and take the opportunity to enjoy one of the local restaurants or book in with us for another dinner (additional cost). If you book for a second night’s accommodation, we will also include a complimentary picnic lunch so you can explore the surrounding countryside.

There’s so much to do in Mangawhai in winter – join the Art Trail, wallow in the luxury of a 1 hour pedicure with hot wax, drink coffee & eat chocolates at Bennett’s new French-styled café, walk along the beach without all the summer hoards, or just sit in the sun in a warm spot & read a book!
