We love beer, we love the ocean and all the marine life, we love the awesome work that Project Jonah do in helping rescue marine mammals. Head Brewer Chris from Zeelandt grew up down the road in Huapai spending holidays in Mangawhai so this place and its natural beauty is dear to his heart.

Like the stars aligning, we thought that Chris coming back to Mangawhai for a holiday was the perfect oppurtunity to combine all of our loves and put on a Beer & BBQ fundraiser for Project Jonah.

Join us on Saturday 6th Feb where we will be pouring Zeelandt Helles Lager & Pale Ale on the deck accompanied with a BBQ of smokey brisket sausages from local butchers Mangawhai Meats. Bring plenty of cash money to recieve a sharp price with proceeds going towards Project Jonah.

mental health feb-20Point of Difference

The Mental Health Foundation is calling for young talented New Zealanders to apply to take part in POD (Point of Difference), an incubator that will give young creatives the industry contacts, tools for making social change and mentoring they need to bring their vision to life. “We’re looking for young people who are passionate about making a difference for people like them, creating a New Zealand where everyone is accepted and included”, says Hugh.

Applications for the first POD close on 4 March, with further intakes in June 2016 and February 2017. To find out more and to apply, visit www.pod.org.nz

POD is supported by Like Minds, Like Mine, a nationwide programme to end mental illness discrimination in New Zealand.
