wireless janHeads FM-

The Wireless 88.1FM is on the move up! – Wireless jan

The Wireless radio station, currently on low power on 88.1FM is getting ready to move to a full power frequency on 90.4FM.

Along with moving up the dial, there’ll be a hefty increase in power.....going from 1 watt to 100 watts!
Consequently, reception will be so much better in Mangawhai, and coverage will garner listeners in the lucrative 50 + age demographic from Marsden Cove to Pakiri, and all points in between.
We'll keep you informed on exactly where and when to tune in to the new frequency, but now you can “start spreading the news”.
you will be able to enjoy the timeless music from yesteryear all the time, with very few commercials, everywhere in our region.
Announcements will be made on air within a few weeks to advise listeners of the switch to 90.4FM. And The Wireless also means a new market for advertisers.

Contact Mark Perry for further information, via thewirelessfm@gmail.com or phone: 0274 983 486.

Mangawhai Museum celebrates life round our harbour with stories as diverse as shipwrecks and gold bullion to geology at the beach, the plight of the Fairy Tern and the saving of the harbour entrance.

Welcoming Emma Gray
Newly appointed to the position of Museum Manager, Emma is now in the driving seat helping to ensure that Mangawhai’s new museum is the success that everyone hopes for it. In her first month in the job the signs have been good. Even with wonderful sunny weather making the beach so attractive there has been a steady stream of visitors, and the comments in the feedback book have been positive.

Mangawhai Museum celebrates life round our harbour from building ships to building sandcastles. It also tells of the an epic battle of the Maori wars, lost bullion still waiting to be found from the second world war, secret gatherings of heavy machinery to defy government regulators. In all there are eleven different stories stories including the very up-to-date story of the struggle to save the critically endangered Fairy Tern.
