Mangawhai Artists Inc is holding an Exhibition of local artwork at the new museum this month. The exhibition of over 90 artworks will be followed by an auction on Saturday 26th January at 7pm.
Entry is $5 including a glass of bubbly. See www.mangawhaiartists.co.nz for more details or drop into the museum to buy a ticket. There is also a silent auction happening every day from 10am – 4pm.
All fund raised by the exhibition and auction will be used to relocate the old Anglican Church/ exSchoolhouse from Molesworth Drive to a site near the new museum.

The Anniversary Weekend Fishing Competition (sponsored by local Mangawhai businesses) is on this Sunday, 27th January. Purchase tickets from Mangawhai Fishing and Tackle or the Wood Street Service Station.
The last tournament of the month at the Mangawhai Golf Club is the TimberWorld Warkworth Mixed Open Golf Tournament on Sunday 27th January. Phone 09 4314 807 to enter.
Are you in training yet for the ‘Avantiplus Whangarei’ Mangawhai Triathlon on 24 February? It’s a sprint course and can be done solo or as a team. 500 metre swim or 1.5km kayak, 17km cycle and a 5km run. Enter at http://www.northlandtri.co.nz.
The Mangawhai Market is on every Saturday from 9am til 1pm in the village.
A Farmers Market in the Bennetts Courtyard will be held on the last Sunday of every month, the next one being on 27th January.
Sunday Markets will be happening at the Domain on 27th January, 3rd and 10th February from 9am until 1pm.

There are a number of wineries in the area which open their doors to the public over the summer months.

Millars Vineyard at 26 Bush Lane is ‘a boutique vineyard near the Brynderwyn ranges’ offering complimentary tastings and wine for sale from 10am to 5pm, phone 09 431 4326.
