Art Artists, Crafts & Galleries
Mangawhai artists are about to build further on the successful launch of their new gallery with a new exhibition featuring some of the best of local art.
The “Easter Show” will run from Good Friday until April 18 at the Mangawhai Artists Gallery in Moir St and showcase works from many of the current 110 members of Mangawhai Artists Inc. The show will also provide a venue for the popular Art Trail which runs throughout the Walking Weekend.
The gallery is housed in the former Museum building adjacent to the village hall and opened just before Christmas, with several successful exhibitions now completed.
MAI president Jan Grover said the gallery was already proving itself a popular community asset and an important “home” for local artists.
“The Easter Show will help consolidate the great start we’ve made and highlight for locals and visitors the quality works being produced in our community."
