A tasty fundraiser is being whipped up to help preserve an old local establishment and benefit a much-needed community service.
The Hakaru Hall Committee is putting out an invitation to all budding bakers willing to put their best baked goods forward for the associations first Hakaru’s Hottest Homebaker competition on September 17.
The bake-off is designed ‘for a bit of fun’ and to bring the communty together. Profits shared with Kaiwaka Fire Brigade.

The Mangawhai Riparian Planting Group invites you to come along to another small plating day!
We will be planting natives along a local stream. Great way to get involved in the community and meet new people.
When: Sat 16th Sep, 9:30am - midday (Unless its pouring, but a few showers will not deter us).
Where: Corner of Mangawhai/Kaiwaka road and Tara road.
