Community Services
The Mangawhai Shed
The Mangawhai Shed has few resources of its own currently. We acknowledge the generosity of our community who have already donated so much to our cause.
The Shed team is working hard to progress our ambitions for a community workshop locally. Until then we remain grateful to one member who is our temporary host.
These premises are private property. You are welcome to bring your own tools and equipment to promote your own craft ambitions. Any sharing of resources are arranged and agreed between individuals; no claims for loss or damage will be accepted by either the Mangawhai Shed or the proprietor.
Te Whai Community Trust Mangawhai
Te Whai Community Trust Mangawhai works in partnership, creating opportunities for improving safety & wellbeing & promoting independence of all the people of the wider Mangawhai community.
Mangawhai Museum
The Mangawhai Museum is a new and modern museum that celebrates life around our harbour from building ships to building sandcastles. The stories are told with a wonderful collection of graphics, displays and videos that will keep you interested and engaged. So allow plenty of time! Stories tell of an epic battle of the Maori wars, lost gold bullion still waiting to be found from the second world war, secret gatherings of heavy machinery to defy government regulators and a look at our local natural history around Mangawhai and its harbour
Mangawhai Focus
